Spring Break Day with Grannie

We started our day with a tour of Duck Springs School that is going to be torn down this summer. Grannie remembers visiting the school as it was being built with her Pa Stanford. Grannie and I showed them where our classrooms had been and where Aunt P and Uncle Bubby had classes.

We visited the area of old buildings, the petting zoo, saw the lion and road the train.
To end our visit, we went to the Gadsden Library and saw the costume that the girl who posed for Noccalula's statue in 1968 wore.
