Christmas Fun

The girls made gingerbread houses at the neighbor's house tonight. What fun!

Winter Wallop

l The snow began in Charlottesville at about 4 on Friday afternoon. These pictures were made at 8. It is amazing how light it looks outside when I made these pictures. Since it is supposed to snow all night, the little girls and I will not be driving down I81 tomorrow. It is possible that we will not leave here until Monday.

Sunday Morning

Despite the freezing rain coming down, we made it to church. The little girls looked very festive in their Christmas tree outfits. This afternoon there is a violin recital going on in the next room and happy girls playing downstairs. They are growing up so fast.

Hunta's Turkeys

What a wonderful birthday. The five turkey cousins had a wonderful time playing. It is so hard to get all of them looking at the camera at the same time. Our trip to the creek always reminds me of the song "Over the river and through the woods to Grandmother's house we go". Fortunately, in the south we don't need a sleigh. I am so thankful for all of my girls. P, J and M were posing like a picture that we had made of them in 1989. Notice M's shoulder pads! The picture couldn't be complete with out them.

Turkey Thursday

What a wonderful Thursday. Grace's Kitchen was a blessing. If you haven't gone to the website, it is http://graceskitchen.org. At lunch, I took two of my friends to Lovelady Center. I am amazed at what God is doing in the lives of over 400 ladies and children. My dinner was at Wrapping Christmas. Kid's First and Gateway will benefit from that activity. In between meals, I finished Jack's t shirt and five turkey's that needed to be mailed. They are flying to some wonderful girls.

Fun Weekend

Mel and Russ went on a mission trip this weekend so the girls were with me from Friday night until Sunday night. We had a wonderful time. I didn't realize how wonderful until L cried to stay with me when her parents came home and crying AC called after they got home to tell me she wanted to live with me.

Wonderful Thursday

Today I am counting my blessings. I was able to help feed the homeless in Linn Park, help in the library at my granddaughter's elementary school, work, and go to my Church History class.
