What a blessing it was to get to go back to Senegal in 2013. The people there have become family. We stayed at our friend S's Chez Nous. Her children M and J have become part of our families since they have been in the US. She is such a gracious hostess.
Walking down the street always gave us opportunities to have a picture made with the ladies. They dress so beautifully.
This trip I was able to visit in the shop of the taylor who makes the beautiful native clothes that we get to wear when we are there. He does intricate embroidery without the help of a computer software.
This is Sunday church in the city where we stay.
This is the view from our van as we drove up to a village where we were conducting a clinic.
This is one of our wonderful helpers and two of the children who received sunglasses.
The sunrise from Chez Nous is always so beautiful.
The donkey was the guard at the Chez Nous gate.
One of our sweet friends who lives in the town. She and her family are light in a very dark place.
This is my favorite toy.
The clinics are intense but sometimes we can get a picture.
A view from the back of Chez Nous brings back such wonderful memories and makes me sad that I will not be going this January.
Our team got to view the Atlantic from the capital city on our way home.
