As we drove out of the city, the scenery changed. There was a vegetable garden growing across the canal from the piled up garbage. I guess that was why we couldn't eat the fruit in Egypt!
The donkey cart and oxen showed that we were leaving the city. As we drove to Memphis, I couldn't get the song about getting in touch with Marie in Memphis, Tennessee out of my mind. We saw a huge statue of Ramses the something and the Alabaster Sphinx.
