Body part room

We went to the museum which contained clay body parts. Epidemus was the first medical center. When a person was healed, they had a clay cast of the body part that was healed and brought it as an offering. Since there were over 1000 prostitutes in Aphrodite's temple, there were some interesting parts of the body in that room. There were also alot of headless statues . The Romans mass produced the bodies and then did a custom head. The person chose the body they liked to go with their head. There were red and black figure vases. I am so glad I saw them so now when I put all those books about them on the shelf at The Student Book Store, I will know what they are about.
