This is a view of Thessoloniki during Roman times and modern Thessoloniki. The modern city was built over the Roman remains. While digging for a new subway system, they found these remains. Needless to say the subway has been rerouted as more and more of the old Roman city is unearthed. The Egnation Road that Paul used goes through here.
